Are you looking for an intelligent solution for fast and secure data capture? With the DESKO IDenty chrom®, we offer you a flexible swipe reader for a wide range of security applications. From access control to visitor registration - our innovative swipe reader provides you with significant support for all security-related processes. It ensures a smooth workflow and speeds up work processes in the check-in area, at bank counters, casino and amusement arcade entrances as well as in other service areas at the point of sale and in the catering sector.

#### Innovative technology
The reader is by default equipped with an OCR module and can be optionally extended with a magnetic stripe reader (MSR), a chip card module and an RFID module.
#### Water- and dust-resistant
The IDenty chrom is protected against water and dust in accordance with IP54 certification.
The IP54 standard only applies to the standard version of the DESKO IDenty chrom®. If the device contains the following optional equipment, it is **not** protected against water and dust:
- Chip card reader
- Cable outlet in the base section
#### Bidirectional swipe slot
Documents to be read can be pulled through the reading slot from right to left or vice versa. This makes the device suitable for both right-handed and left-handed users.
#### Compact design
The device stands out by its modern design and compact construction.
#### Color selection
Whether in classic black or in the colors of your corporate design - the swipe readers are available in every possible color.

All readable documents at a glance
----------------------------------
Depending on the equipment, the compact swipe reader can read, save and transfer data from the following documents:
### Documents with magnetic stripes
Integrated magnetic stripe reader for capturing customer data, frequent flyer cards as well as credit and EC cards
### OCR camera
for the machine-readable zone, e.g. passports, ID cards and visas
### RFID
Integrated RFID module for reading biometric passports (e-passports)
### Chip cards
Reader for capturing data on chip and smart cards, such as credit and bank cards as well as insurance cards
Powerful and reliable: data capture of the latest generation
------------------------------------------------------------
The document reader includes by default a highly efficient OCR (Optical Character Recognition) reader. This integrated module for optical character recognition is suitable for reading documents such as passports or ID cards. Simply swipe the ID documents through the bidirectional reading slot. This allows you to capture all personal data from the machine-readable zone (MRZ). The data is then transferred to your PC or tablet using your software.
As an option, the reader can also be equipped with a magnetic stripe reader (MSR), which is also located in the swipe slot. This enables cards with magnetic stripes, such as bank and credit cards or customer cards, to be captured. The functionality of the IDenty chrom can optionally be expanded to include a chip card reader and an RFID module for reading biometric passports.

#### Accidentally spilled a glass of water over the IDenty chrom? No problem - the water-resistant swipe reader will remain fully functional for use.
