Management statement on the global memory crisis
The current restructuring in the memory industry, in particular, the withdrawal of major manufacturers from DDR3/DDR4 and the strong shift to DDR5, LPDDR5X, and HBM for AI applications, is causing a noticeable memory shortage with sharply rising prices and ongoing delivery delays. This “memory crisis” affects not only consumer RAM, but also server and industrial components – memory has become a bottleneck in the AI and PC environment.
We, too, have long since moved beyond the generally lamented chip crisis to see a concrete memory supply risk that threatens our delivery speed and price stability – currently extending into 2026.
Our approach:
- A forward-looking procurement plan in which we reserve existing DRAM and NAND capacities at an early stage to close supply gaps.
- Strategic risk hedging: We ask our customers to share the burden so that demand and capacity are aligned and we can guarantee delivery.
Here is how you, as our customers, can contribute to the solution:
| Actions taken | Effect |
| Early project and requirements planning | Plannning security |
|
Advance scheduling & framework agreements |
Reliable call-off quantities |
| Advance ordering or early orders | Better allocation in a tight supply chain |
| Faster payments / prepayment | Liquidity for early procurement |
Placing your order early ensures better availability, allowing you to benefit from more stable prices and more reliable delivery dates.
Through open communication, a cooperative approach, and mutual trust, we are creating a stable supply, despite the tense market situation. Together, we can overcome the current memory crisis.
