What are the general working hours?
Our usual office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 16:30. However, depending on the employment contract, these hours can also deviate or be flexible.

How well is the topic "work-life balance" realized at DESKO?
At DESKO, we want all employees to feel good and to be enthusiastic about their work. For this, a healthy balance between work and free time is essential. Through flexible working hours as well as the possibility to work part-time or in a home office, we ensure an optimal work-life balance.
In addition to working, our employees of course also need sufficient time to relax. Therefore, 30 days of vacation per year are a matter of course. After all, only those who are well rested can enjoy their work.
Our company doctor also takes care of our employees´ health.

What does the technical equipment of the workstations look like?
We have two monitors at every workstation as standard. You also get a headset so that you always have your hands free when making phone calls.
As far as internal communication in the office and home office is concerned, we are up to date: in our meetings, we use Microsoft Teams as a modern and uncomplicated communication tool.

Are lateral entrants welcome at DESKO?

Is it very important to be able to speak English at DESKO?
Yes, because we have an international team including colleagues who work for DESKO all over the world - for example, some team members live in the USA, Mexico, France and Singapore. For this reason , it is important that everyone in the team speaks a common language.
If your German is not perfect or if you are in the process of learning it, this is not an obstacle for employment at DESKO.

Are the offices air-conditioned?
Of course, our offices are all fully air-conditioned. So you won't break a sweat even in the hottest outside temperatures and can work in a well-tempered environment

Why doesn't DESKO offer sabbaticals?
Sabbaticals are not a fashion term in employment law, but clearly defined working models that usually consist of savings and leave phases. At DESKO, we have decided against these models in favor of individual agreements. What does that mean in concrete terms? Employees who wish to take personal time off come to us with their request and we discuss the most suitable solution together. On the one hand, the aim is to accommodate the employee's wishes for relaxation, time for family, care, further training, etc. in the best possible way. On the other hand, we clarify the substitution situation and the return to work. In this way, we have been able to find an individual solution for requests in recent years.

How are sporting activities rewarded as part of company health management?
Regular exercise and relaxation are crucial to staying fit and healthy. We all know that. At the same time, it is often challenging to find the necessary time and motivation in everyday life. We all know that too. For this reason, we support the individual health maintenance and health promotion of our employees as an expression of our appreciation. What is the salary structure at DESKO?
DESKO is not bound by collective agreements. This allows applicants to negotiate individual working conditions with us. We are guided by the wages and salaries of IG Metall.
