A full house at DESKO GmbH
Members of the Bayreuther Gemeinschaft (BG) organization learn about high tech "Made in Bayreuth"
Roughly 28 members of the Bayreuther Gemeinschaft, including two city councilors, visited our headquarters in Bayreuth, Wolfsbach on January 31st. These representatives of the second-largest political group in the city council of Bayreuth took an entire afternoon to learn about the company and our products as well as to explore the company’s new building.
What is really behind DESKO?
DESKO: what does the name stand for and what does the company actually do? Owner and Managing Director Werner Zahn answered these questions and more in an entertaining presentation in which he provided insight about the business divisions, products as well as the company’s history and organizational structure.
Putting ideas into practice
Of course, the visitors also wanted to know how the ID scanner, barcode reader and keyboards work in their practical applications. This was demonstrated during the subsequent product presentation by Ewald Plößner, product expert at DESKO. Using everyday examples, he illustrated for the guests just how these technically sophisticated devices really work. Of course, visitors were also given a chance to test the scanners themselves.
Tour of the company building
The afternoon concluded with a tour of the company building, which was completed in 2017. Mr. Zahn took the BG members to see the offices for the different departments, from Research & Development to Sales and Production.
We would like to warmly thank the Bayreuther Gemeinschaft for their visit. We appreciate you taking the time to get to know our company.
